CNIGA welcomes five more tribes to its membership

Five more tribes have joined the California Nations Indian Gaming Association (CNIGA).

The Karuk Tribe, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, the Big Sandy Rancheria of Mono Indians, the Colusa Rancheria, and the Alturas Indian Rancheria have all joined CNIGA.

The final four tribes are ex-CNIGA members who have rejoined the group. With these additions, the CNIGA membership has increased to 47 tribes, which represents more than 40% of the state’s federally recognised tribes. In 2019, this number was 39.

James Siva, Chairman at the California Nations Indian Gaming Association.

“We heartily welcome these Tribal governments into this great organization and are honored to have them as members. As each Tribe is unique, more Tribal members bring a greater perspective to the whole organization. We look forward to their participation.” said CNIGA Chairman James Siva in a statement.

With the accession of the new members, CNIGA membership has increased by eight since 2019 to 47 Tribes. In California, CNIGA now represents 40% of the federally recognised Tribes.

SiGMA is also an Associate Member of the California Nations Indian Gaming Association (CNIGA). The organization is one of the largest and most active tribal gaming associations in the United States, now supporting 47 tribal gambling operators in California.

SiGMA is aiding tribal governments and CNIGA member tribes in promoting gaming in Indian countries by bringing worldwide experiences from the gaming, new technologies, and digital marketing industries to Indian territory through a variety of educational programmes and workshops.
